Launch conference - Information

Economic globalization has created many new challenges and opportunities for European business. Innovation is now the key factor by which Europe will increase its global competitiveness, exploit its knowledge base, and strengthen its economic position. It is increasingly important to stimulate innovation as a means of ensuring the sustainable development of a competitive European economy and enhancing Europe’s position in international markets.
The KTForce partnership is promoting the conference “Boosting European Regional Development by improving technology transfer practices and policies” which will take place on the 11th of July 2012, at the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in Bucharest, Romania.
In line with the programme activities of the KTForce project, the conference will bring together eminent international speakers to share their experiences and views on the impact of knowledge transfer on regional economies. The conference will focus on three key themes relating to economic development:

  1. Innovation policies and knowledge transfer: leveraging regional development;
  2. The different dimensions of knowledge transfer;
  3. Best practices in entrepreneurship promotion: growing new technology-based spin-offs.

The Conference is being organized by the National Institute of Research and Development for Mechatronics and Measurement Technique (INCDMTM) and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and made possible by the INTERREG IVC programme.
