What is the aim/objective? 
Increase of Romanian RDI system capacity of gathering knowledge and first rank results and experience in top scientific and technological domains, and transferring them towards social and economic internal environment for increasing their competitiveness.
Give an overview of the practice 
The project aims at increasing the research capacity of universities and public R & D institutions by developing GRID resource centers in order to increase the international scientific competitiveness and main electronic infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted, fast, safe and friendly access, to users by granting access to millions of Internet sources including not only information but also specific services internationally distributed in the knowledge-based society. The project is consistent with the general objective of SOP IEC: Romanian companies' productivity growth and reducing disparities compared to average EU productivity and contributing to Romanian researchers’ involvement in highly specialized international research networks type “grid” GRID, with important implications for the future development of science and technology.
