What is the aim/objective? 
Creation of new interregional and interdisciplinary clusters in East Germany in order to increase the capacity for innovation.
Give an overview of the instrument 
Partners from the private sector, higher education sector and public research organisations should be brought together and linked with selected partners from West Germany. In particular, the engagement of SMEs in interdisciplinary cooperation activities should be increased. The consortia should focus on solving the economic and social challenges. The programme is not restricted to certain technologies or sectors and follows a bottom-up approach.
